RECRUITMENT
INFORMATION Fall
Formal Recruitment will be held on September 1-4, 2004. You have to register
to participate in this event. You may get all the registration forms from any
of the staff members in the Department of Student Activities from April
through September or from these links here: <doc
| pdf>
An optional step in the Fall recruitment process is registering with your
local Alumnae Panhellenic Association. This will provide you with an
opportunity to meet sorority alumnae in your area, attend a recruitment
information session, & gain assistance in getting reference letters. The
registration form that you will complete for your local Alumnae Panhellenic
Association will be very similar to the form you will complete for the UTA
Collegiate Panhellenic Council. Even if you register with a local Alumnae
Panhellenic Association YOU MUST register with the UTA Collegiate
Panhellenic Council.
If you would like additional information regarding Panhellenic Recruitment or

Membership Criteria
The
selection of members for a lifetime involves the realization and
acceptance that no chapter chooses for itself alone or without
consideration of the past, present, and future. Membership in Alpha Chi
Omega is determined by mutual choice. Alpha Chi Omega chooses its
members by considering five basic criteria. |
 |
Character |
We
believe that each member should accept and reflect moral integrity and
dignity, social awareness and Fraternity loyalty. |
 |
Academic
Interest |
We
believe in the importance of intellectual development and urge sound
scholarship. |
 |
Financial
Responsibility |
Alpha
Chi Omega expects each member to be responsible for prompt payment of
all dues and fees and other financial commitments. |
 |
Leadership
Ability |
We
believe character, personality and leadership are developed through
participation in campus and chapter activities and urges each collegian
to be involved in the affairs of the community. |
 |
Personal
Development |
We
believe in cultural appreciation and the further development of one's
social knowledge. |
